Do I need any extra hardware?
No. PromptGO turns your phone into a teleprompter: the script scrolls right under the front camera, so you keep eye contact while you record.
Can I control how fast the text scrolls?
Yes. Set the scrolling speed with a slider, pause and resume with one tap, skip back or forward, and pinch to change the text size while you read.
Can I record in landscape?
Yes. Hold your phone sideways while recording and the script turns with you; the video is saved in the orientation you recorded. The teleprompter screen also works in landscape.
How do auto captions work?
PromptGO turns the speech in your video into captions with timing. You can edit every line, choose the font, color, style and size, drag the captions to where you want them and export the video with the captions burned in.
Where are my videos saved?
On your phone, in your photo library in the "Promptgo" album. Your videos are not uploaded to our servers.
Are my scripts private?
Yes. Your scripts are backed up to your own account so you can use them on another phone, and database rules make sure only your account can access them. Sign in with Apple or Google to keep them when you change phones.
Which languages does PromptGO support?
The app is available in 24 languages, including English, Turkish, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. You can write scripts in any language.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings → Account → Delete account. Your account and data are deleted right away. You can also email us – see "Deleting your account" in our Privacy Policy.
