Privacy Policy

PromptGO is a teleprompter and camera app. Your videos stay on your phone. Your scripts are backed up to your account so you can use them on another phone. AI features send only what they need (your prompt, or the audio of a video you caption) to our AI provider, which under its terms does not use it to train AI models. We only share data with Meta for ad measurement if you allow tracking. We don't sell your data. You can delete your account and data at any time in the app.

1.Who we are

PromptGO is developed and operated by an independent developer based in Istanbul, Türkiye ("PromptGO", "we", "us"). We are the data controller ("veri sorumlusu" under Turkish law KVKK) for the personal data described in this policy. Contact for all privacy questions and requests: [email protected] We have not appointed a data protection officer because the law does not require one for our processing; the address above reaches the person responsible for data protection.

2.Scope

This policy covers the PromptGO apps for iOS and Android, the website promptgo.studio and support by email. It does not cover third-party services you choose to use with PromptGO (for example sharing a video to another app); their own policies apply.

3.Information we process

• Account data: a random account ID created automatically when you first open the app. If you sign in with Apple or Google, the email address (or Apple's private relay address) and the account identifier they give us; Google also shares your name. We never receive your Apple or Google password. • Scripts: the titles, text and tags of your scripts, and when they were created or changed. • AI inputs: the details you enter when generating a script (template, tone, length, description) and, only when you create captions, the audio track of the video you selected. • Purchase data: your subscription status and purchase history (product, date, store, price and currency) as reported by Apple or Google. We never receive your card or payment details. • Usage data: daily counters of how often you used the AI features (to apply fair-use limits). • Advertising data (only if you allow tracking, see "Ad measurement"): app installs, app opens, sign-ups and purchases, with your device's advertising identifier. • Support data: what you send us by email. • Technical data: IP address, device type and operating system version, processed by our hosting providers when the app or website connects to them (for security and delivery). We do not collect precise location, contacts, health data or biometric data. Captions are made from speech; we do not create voice prints or identify who is speaking.

4.Content that stays on your device

Videos and audio recordings you make are saved on your phone (in your photo library in the "Promptgo" album, or in the app's storage) and are not uploaded to our servers. The only exception is the audio of a video you choose to caption, which is sent for transcription and not kept (see "AI features"). App settings such as text size, colors and camera preferences also stay on your phone.

5.How and why we use it (legal bases)

• To provide the app and your account – create your account, back up and sync your scripts across your devices, restore them when you sign in, run the AI features you ask for, and unlock Pro. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); KVKK Art. 5(2)(c)). • To keep the service fair and secure – daily AI usage limits, preventing abuse and fraud, protecting our systems. Legal basis: our legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)). • To measure our advertising – only if you allow tracking. Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); KVKK Art. 5(1)), which you can withdraw at any time. • To answer your requests and provide support. Legal basis: contract and legitimate interests. • To keep records required by law (for example tax records) and to handle legal claims. Legal basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c) and (f); KVKK Art. 5(2)(ç) and (e)). We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects. The AI features only produce text that you review and edit.

6.AI features

When you generate a script, the details you entered are sent through our server to Groq, Inc. (USA), which runs the AI model and returns the text. When you create captions, the app extracts the audio of the selected video and sends it the same way to Groq for speech-to-text; the transcript comes back to your phone and the extracted audio is deleted from your phone right after. We do not keep your prompts, audio or the results on our servers. Groq processes this data as our service provider under its own terms, which do not allow it to use this data to train its models. AI output is generated automatically and is presented as such in the app.

7.Ad measurement (Meta)

On iOS, PromptGO asks for your permission to track (Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt). Only if you tap "Allow" do we activate the Meta (Facebook) SDK, which sends app installs, app opens, sign-ups and purchases (product, price and currency) together with your device's advertising identifier to Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. / Meta Platforms, Inc. This tells us which of our ads bring people to PromptGO. If you don't allow tracking, the Meta SDK is not started and nothing is sent to Meta. You can change your choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, the Meta SDK is currently not active. We do not show ads in PromptGO.

We share personal data only with service providers that process it for us under contract, and only as needed: • Supabase, Inc. – database, authentication and server functions; data stored in the EU (Frankfurt, Germany). • Groq, Inc. (USA) – AI script generation and speech-to-text. • RevenueCat, Inc. (USA) – subscription management; receives your account ID and purchase data from the stores. • Apple Inc. and Google LLC – sign-in, app distribution and payments, under their own privacy policies. • Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. / Meta Platforms, Inc. – ad measurement, only with your permission (see above). • Cloudflare, Inc. – website hosting, security and forwarding of emails sent to our support address. We may also disclose data if required by law or a valid order of a court or authority, to protect our rights or the safety of users, or to a successor if PromptGO is transferred (you will be informed and this policy will continue to apply). We do not sell your personal data.

9.International transfers

Some providers are located in, or access data from, countries outside your own (in particular the United States). Where the law of your country (for example the GDPR, UK GDPR or Turkish KVKK) requires it, we rely on the transfer safeguards offered by our providers under their data processing terms (for example the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework), or on another basis the law allows.

10.How long we keep data

• Account data and scripts: as long as your account exists. Scripts you delete are removed from our database; when you delete your account, everything linked to it is deleted. Copies in our providers' backups are overwritten on their normal backup schedule. • AI inputs (prompts and audio): not stored by us; processed only to return the result. • AI usage counters: as long as your account exists. • Purchase records: kept by Apple, Google and RevenueCat under their policies, and by us as long as tax or accounting law requires. • Support emails: as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, or longer if the law requires it. • Ad measurement data: kept by Meta under its own policies.

11.Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have some or all of these rights: to access your personal data and get a copy; to correct it; to delete it; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting earlier processing); and not to be discriminated against for using your rights. You can delete your account and data yourself in Settings → Account → Delete account, and change tracking in iOS Settings. For any other request, email us from the address linked to your account (or tell us how you signed in) so we can verify it is you. We answer within the time limits set by the law that applies to you. If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to your data protection authority – for example the authority of your EU/EEA country, the UK Information Commissioner's Office, or the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK). We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.

12.Deleting your account

You can delete your PromptGO account and its data at any time: • In the app: open Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm. Your account is deleted immediately. • Can't open the app? Email [email protected] from the address linked to your account (or tell us how you signed in) and we will delete your account and data within the time the law requires. What is deleted: your account, its linked Apple or Google sign-in, AI usage counters, your subscription record and the scripts backed up to our servers, together with the scripts and audio recordings the app stored on your phone. Videos you saved to your photo library stay there; you can delete them in your Photos app. Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings to stop being charged.

13.Region-specific information

European Economic Area and United Kingdom: the legal bases above apply. Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object at any time. Türkiye: you have the rights listed in Article 11 of Law No. 6698 (KVKK). Our information notice in Turkish (Aydınlatma Metni) is available at promptgo.studio/kvkk. United States (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas and other states with privacy laws): we do not sell personal data for money. Letting Meta measure our ads may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some state laws; it only happens if you allow tracking, and you can opt out at any time by turning tracking off in iOS Settings or by emailing us. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information. Brazil: you have the rights of the LGPD (Art. 18), which you can exercise as described above.

14.Children

PromptGO is not directed to children. You must be at least 16 years old to use it. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16; if we learn that we have, we delete it. If you believe a child has given us personal data, please contact us.

15.Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest by our database provider, database rules that let each account access only its own scripts, and access limited to what is needed to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data. If a breach affects your personal data, we will give the notices the law requires.

16.Website

Our website promptgo.studio currently uses no cookies and no analytics. Our hosting provider Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.

17.Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our app or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will let you know in a reasonable way (for example in the app or on our website) and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent again.
